Hi Tina,
Thank you for reading! Yes many raw foods are closer to a patte texture, we like to leave ours with a little texture for dogs to enjoy! It sounds like with their listing that its based on dry matter thus the much higher numbers. I would definitely say that Back2Raw products our leaner than the ones mentioned though! We appreciate you coming onto our brand!
Best,
Delsin
I was reading your article on protein and fats. I tried feeding my dogs Pets4life and he did not like it at all it has a funny look to it and I asked and they said they grind it 3 times so maybe thats why , they said to try the quest line as it has less fruit and vegetables but I was looking at the % and the protein for beef is 38.93 and fat 45.56 , chicken is protein 38.63 fat 36.61,,
the duck is better at protein 53.03% and fat 22.02% ,lamb is protein 27.30 and fat 50.07, after I read your article I though my gosh that is terrible am I understanding correctly that ingredients like that would be bad for my dog with the fat being so high? I am now feeding him the back2raw beef, after reading your article my dog is a 5 years old 13 pounds.
